Corbett Water is a Special District
Special districts are independent, special purpose governmental units, other than school district governments, that exist as separate entities with substantial administrative and fiscal independence from general purpose local governments. Special Districts are financed through property taxes, fees for services, or a combination thereof. Most Special Districts are directed by a governing body elected by the voters. Special District governments provide specific services that are not being supplied by existing general purpose governments.
